The Challenge
As Courtney prepared to launch Unearthed Psychotherapy, she needed more than a logo or website—she needed a professional identity that reflected both her therapeutic approach and her personal story. Her practice centers on culturally sensitive, trauma-informed therapy, and it was important that her brand communicate warmth, authenticity, and hope.
The website also needed to introduce prospective clients to her services in a way that felt approachable, genuine, and easy to navigate as she established her new private practice.
The Approach
Our work began by developing the visual foundation of the practice. Through conversations about Courtney's values, therapeutic philosophy, and cultural background, we explored imagery that carried personal meaning.
The final logo features a vibrant marigold, a flower deeply rooted in Mexican tradition. During Día de Muertos, marigolds are used to guide ancestors home, making them a meaningful symbol of remembrance, connection, healing, and generational ties—beautifully reflecting the work Courtney does with generational trauma.
Once the brand foundation was established, I designed and developed a custom Squarespace website that carried those same themes throughout. Warm colors, thoughtful typography, and intentional page layouts created an experience that feels welcoming while helping visitors clearly understand Courtney's services and approach to therapy.
The Result
Courtney launched her private practice with a cohesive visual identity and professional website that authentically represents both her work and her values.
Together, the brand and website create a calm, trustworthy first impression while providing prospective clients with a welcoming place to learn about her practice and confidently take the next step toward reaching out.
